About

Our Motivation

SynthesisLegis was born out of our founder’s challenges with dealing with the divergent quality of Philippine legal resources in the internet. Case digests are often mixed in quality. Cases are not always available online, accessible via search engines, or mobile-friendly, despite laudable and growing efforts to digitize and make publicly available these legal resources. Laws and statutes are treated as static and not dynamic texts; thus, amendments and repeals are often not tracked into the documentation of the main body. Websites of government agencies from all three branches employ different means of disseminating information, causing headaches to the people who may need these information the most. Thus, with these challenges, any researcher unfamiliar with the pace of changes in the practice of law in the Philippines would be left in the dark with the veracity or validity of a case, statute, memorandum, or legal information. Realizing the scale of the impact such divergence have on the study and practice of law, this website, through the profiling, indexing, and consolidation of these legal resources, aims to fill that gap.

Our Vision

SynthesisLegis aspires to be a top online directory and resource for the informational, educational, and research needs of law students and professionals in the study and practice of law.
